What is inside the ZIP
Your pages, styles and scripts; README.md with run and deploy steps; SPEC.md with the pages, data model, design tokens, feasibility table, acceptance checklist and diagnostics; LICENSES.md listing third-party software (none at runtime); an optional package.json pinning Vite for a dev server; and aiwebapp.manifest.json with schema version, settings, the plan and a checksum for every file.
After building the ZIP, AIWebApp reads it back with an independent parser and checks that every file is present and byte-identical, the manifest checksums match, every reference resolves, and no external scripts are required.
Hosting, truthfully
Any static host serves these files: Cloudflare Pages, Netlify, GitHub Pages, Vercel and others. Data stays in each visitor’s browser, so there is nothing to configure — and nothing shared between visitors. If you need shared data, logins or payments, you will need to add a backend; the spec file lists which requested features were left out for that reason.
You can import the ZIP back later to continue where you left off. Imports are size-limited, refuse path traversal and compression bombs, and validate the plan before use.
Frequently asked questions
Can I export a single HTML file?
Yes. “Download single HTML” inlines CSS and JavaScript into one file for quick sharing.
Do I have to use Vite?
No. The app runs from index.html directly or from any static server. The Vite config is optional.
