About AIWebApp

AIWebApp builds small web apps in your browser. You describe what you want; a rule-based planner turns the description into a plan; tested templates turn the plan into plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript that you can read, edit, preview and download.

Templates first, AI second

Generative models are impressive and unpredictable. We start with the predictable part: a planner whose decisions you can see and templates that are validated, accessibility-checked and tested before they ship. An on-device model can then refine the plan or propose edits — always validated, always reviewable, never required.

Local by design

The site is a static bundle. There is no server that receives your prompts or projects, no account and no cloud AI service. Work is saved in your browser’s IndexedDB and exported as a ZIP when you choose.

Honest about limits

A static app cannot sign people in, take payments, send email or sync between users. When you ask for those, AIWebApp says so up front and labels them UNSUPPORTED instead of generating something that only looks finished. See the FAQ for details.

Open-source pieces

The interface uses Next.js and React (MIT). Fonts are Bricolage Grotesque and JetBrains Mono (SIL Open Font License), self-hosted. The optional model runtime is WebLLM (Apache-2.0), loaded from a pinned CDN URL only after you opt in; each model’s own licence is shown before download.
