A mock API you can swap later
Data access goes through mock-api.js, a tiny in-browser resource with list, get, create, update and remove — the same shape as a REST endpoint. When you add a real backend, replace those five functions with fetch calls and the rest of the panel keeps working.
Records persist in localStorage. “Reset sample data” restores the seeded rows; Ctrl+Z undoes the last delete.
Accessible data tables
Column headers are buttons that announce sort direction through aria-sort. The edit form is a native dialog with labelled fields and validation, and focus returns where it was when the dialog closes.
Frequently asked questions
Can I add login to the admin panel?
Not securely in a static site. Anyone who can open the page can see the data in their own browser. Put the exported files behind your host’s access control if needed.
How many records can it hold?
Up to 500 sample rows are generated; the browser can store more, typically several megabytes in localStorage.
